Chanel Spring 09: Bohemian Fantasy Collection

Chanel Bohemian Fantasy Collection

With the birds chirping and warm sunny days we've been having, you'd think Spring is on the way.  Trendsetter, Chanel, starts us off with a preview for the upcoming Spring 09 season.

The Bohemian Fantasy offers a collection of browns, plums, and silver eyeshadow quads and singles.  Bold bursts of red, pinks, and beiges for your lips not to mention the stunning yet vampy Vendetta nail polish for all you purple lovers.  For the not so bold, Django vernis offers a nice feminine touch of pink appropriate for any work envirnoment.

This year Chanel goes all shades of Purple - a girls best friend.  What a brilliant idea, purple!  Much different from last year's Aurora Blue and the typical "pastel shades" that I personally dislike.

Mystic shadow quad is much gorgeous in person.  The stunning silvery plummy shade will have you at hello - no kidding!  Need to brighten your eyes up? Try Delta Irisdescent fluid, a gold metalliic eyeshadow base that's stunning under Mystic Eyes.

Check out all the swatches below.

Hi, I am in australia so we are unable to get the new nail enamels featured in chanel's new collection (australasia gets the french colours which differ from the american colours), usually I buy them off ebay but at this stage the colour called 'django' is unavailable. Do you have any suggestions of online sellers who might ship internationally? Thanks

Hi Katie, No, don't mind at all :) My local chanel counter gets their stuff in super early sometimes even a month in advance and I have an fab MA that keeps me on tops of things. Do you plan on stocking up on anything from the Bohemian Collection?

I want to try Wild Rose and the Mystic Eye quad. I'm not really a lipstick person though! Thanks for the great swatches :)

Love love love your blog Steph! I just recently stumbled upon it when I googled Sally's new polish line. So far since purchasing my first bottle (comander in chic) I have returned to buy 5 more bottles... Seriously has to be the best new nail polish line out there. Top colors for me are Commander in Chic, Grey by Grey, Plum Luck, Lavender Cloud and Pat on The Black. At this speed I think Ill own them all by the end of the month! :)

I tried the "Thinking of Blue" color last night and was very impressed with the wide applicator brush. I actually like it better becuase it provides full coverage. The color is vibrant and funky. I absolutely love the shades. I think that this new line will give Opi a run for its money and I'm an avid Opi girl. However, change can be good. : )

I used to be a strictly OPI girl but when I went shopping for a new spring shade and the selection where I went was picked over I took a chance and tried this in Shell We Dance. The application was easy with the brush reminding me of the Pro Wide style OPI uses. Also the wear is very long lasting and keeps my super thin and brittle nails from breaking and peeling. At a few dollars more than OPI per bottle...I\'m sold!

I'm not gonna lie, right now i have over 15 different purples in my collection... i have a problem. This kind of reminds me of the Hot Topic purple! (which is in my top 3 favorite purples)
