Maybelline Express Finish Flash of Gold

Maybelline Flash of gold nail polish swatches

This Summer, Maybelline introduces nine juicy colors to the Express Finish Line called, The Flash of Gold collection. Each limited editon color is a semi sheer texture that has flecks of gold shimmer in each bottle.

Today I'm bringing you six out of the nine shades from Maybelline. Each color is a gorgeous jelly like texture that has gold flecks and some matching shimmer.

The only downfall to these beauties, they are pretty sheer compared to China Glaze's Summer Days collection.

Most colors needed a good three coats or more to obtain bottle color, with the exception of the reds, which only needed around two.

Check out all the swatches below.

Maybelline Aqua Electric nail polishes

Maybelline Flash of Gold nail collection

Aqua Electric, one of my favorites, described as an Aqua blue with flecks of gold and blue.

Maybelline Magenta Shock nail polish

Maybelline Flash of Gold nail collection

Magenta Shock, a light magenta pinkish purple. This one applied pretty sheer, you'll need four coats for bottle color.

Maybelline Fuchsia Fire nail polish

Maybelline Flash of gold nail collection

Fuchsia Fire, a light pink with flecks of gold. A much lighter version of China Glaze's Strawberry Fields.

I'll be giving away one bottle of Fuchsia Fire to one of my lucky subscribers this week.

Maybelline Feiry flash of gold nail polish

Fiery, a reddish orange with flecks of gold.

Maybelline Express Finish Manadrin Heat

Manadrin Heat, a coral with flecks of gold.

Maybelline Blazing Berry nail polish

Blazing Berry, a berry pink with flecks of gold.

Maybelline's Flash of Gold collection is now available for a limited time only and retails around $3.99/each. Have a wonderful Monday!

So these are in the stores now? I think I want a red, either Blazing Berry or Fiery. The Fuchsia Fire looks nice too, but it doesn't look fuchsia in the picture, more of a medium pink.

I like the Mandarian Heat and Firey. Do the flecks make it hard for polish to come off when using remover?

They all look pretty. I like all the reds the best.

Hi Dee, Yes, they should be in stores now. Although, around here, they've been pretty hard to find. Hi Brooklynshoebabe, No, you shouldn't have any problems removing these :) Lucy, Thanks! The reds are definitely more opaque than the others! Hi Smartchic, Thanks! :)

I tried Deluxe Chocolate last week and loved it! Wicked will be my next mani. And I've been thinking about ordering the new Fall rose shades, but they don't seem very fall to me.... so I haven't decided yet.

Those are great dupes! I've always had good results from Milani, so I think I'll be looking for Dressmaker. I don't own any Chanel, and don't expect to either.

Great post! It's very helpful. I already have the Jordana (which is the same as the Milani Dressmaker) so I don't need the Chanel which is impossible to get a hand on. Thank you so much for this comparison!
