I'm so into mints right now, I have about half the ones you showed, but I'm still jealous of your collection! I so wish I had gotten Damone Roberts when I had the chance! Great swatches I'm kind of feeling that Hot Topic one at the bottom, I may pick it up to have an almost neon mint.

Hi Andrea,
So I am, big time. I feel like I have to own every single mint green on the planet! LOL! Hot Topic's Peppermint is definitely neon.

Ahhh, be still my heart - LOVE all these mint polishes, so yummy! Thank you for the photo spam, it's perfect. Merry Christmas!

For those of us that missed out on Chanel Jade, what do you think is the closest dupe? Thanks!

Steph said on Dec 30th, 2009 1:10 pm
Hi MoLo,
The closest I've found to Chanel Jade is Claire's Dream Catcher. Even though Claire's base is more green than mint, the shimmer is dead on Chanel's. It's a bargain at $4.50, check it out! :)

I covet your OPI Creme de Menthe!

This is mint Heaven! My favorite dotty manicures also. Have a wonderful holiday Steph and a Happy New Year.

I love mint green, but I was sadly disappointed when I applied Essie MCA :( Somehow it just doesn't look good with my colouring.

I am in love with these mint polishes! My favorite is MCA. I'm really pale (sadly) and it work well with my coloring. I think you have to be pale to wear it. I was also surprised to see Jade - I didn't like it as much as in the bottle! Thanks!

These are so pretty on you. Chanel, Mac, & OPI are dead on ringers for each other. I really like the American Apparel & RGB. Thanks for the wonderful swatches for comparison.

They all look wonderful on you! Essie's Mint Candy Apple is still my favorite:)

Ricky’s NYC has a lot of affordable name-brand makeup available in store and on their website (, including their exclusive makeup line called Mattese Elite. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re interested.

I want all of them! But in Mexico is extremely hard to find this kind of shades, the Chanel green never arrived and there's no Walmart selling this shades or any another store. I really hate it because I'm in love with this colors, this is so sad!

oh my gosh. I'm so jealous.

Hi Steph,
Love your blog. You wrote: Always wrap the free edge or tip throughout each step. I didn't see this step in the video. Could you please explain how to do the wrap process and with what material. Thank you.

I am wondering if these gel polishes can be used with other gels. I have a different system with a different brand of base coat and top coat, can the different brands of gel mix?

I've had my kit for a couple of months now and love the way it lasts; but the Structure and Brilliance brushes are starting to stiffen and so is the gel in the bottles. Anyone else having that issue? Is there a way to thin them out?

Hi, does anyone know if I can thin out the red carpet base coat so that it is easier to apply?

Hi Prinzy,
It was a gorgeous color! I remember picking up a few bottles because I loved the color so much! lol! Actually, yes, I'm launching a store in the next couple of weeks. I have everything built, I'm just working on the Terms and Conditions right now, so it should be very, very soon.

I only have about 10 Studio M colors in the store currently, but I will be taking special pre-orders once it opens.

Hi Sarah,
I'm not sure about retail stores, but you can still find them on

Sarah said, on Jun 12th, 2012 2:19 pm regarding Summer Collection: China Glaze Poolside
Can I still buy them in the stores now?

I've been playing with this system for about a month now. I love it! When I first started I used the clear just so I could get a feel for it. Then I got adventurous and tried a "sandwich" with a China Glaze color. It probably would have stayed on longer if I had been able to seal off the edges, but my nails were so short it was a bit difficult. The next time I used RCM gel polish in Simply Stunning (a pale slightly shimmery nude color). This time I had gotten enough practice to really make my coats thin and it worked out fabulous. I'm trying to send all my friends the Ulta 20% coupon (5/26 is the last day) so they can get a kit for about $64. :) Now I hope to get a little creative with color combos and nail design. Thanks for the review.
